Clarifications

 

Age of Competitors for CDI Competitions

These Rules apply to all classes including Crystal Combination Class

- No competitor under 12 may compete in any CDI competition

- No competitor under 14 may compete in any CDI championship

- All competitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied at all times by a groom / backstepper who is over the age of 18 years.

Age of Horses/Ponies for CDI Competitions

- No three year old equine may compete in any marathon

- A single horse or pony may not compete in an Open class with a five section marathon until it is six years old.

Pairs of horses or ponies may not compete in an Open class with a five section marathon until they are five years old.
