NICDA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

The Annual General Meeting of NICDA was held on Tuesday 6th November in the Chestnut Lodge, Moira.

 

Terry Logan gave a summary of the year’s activities and commented on the effect the poor weather had caused with the non-running of several events including the club championships at Necarne.  As some consolation for the six club members who had travelled to Windsor for the aborted British Championships, their qualifiers plaques were presented to them.

Sylvia Ingram circularised a summary of the points tables and the final results of all classes.

After a speedy return trip home, (hope there were no speed cameras in operation!) Sara Clinghan presented the annual accounts which, although not as good as last year due to loss of event income and other items of expenditure, still showed the club to be in a healthy state.

Due to the recent demise of the Club’s Patron, Cecil Bunting, it was unanimously agreed that in recognition of his dedication to carriage driving and involvement in the club for many years that Cecil Geddis should be appointed as the new Patron.

 

The election of officers and committee members was conducted by Sarah Mullins and the following were elected:

Terry thanked all the members for attending and confirmed that he looked forward to working with the new committee in the incoming year.
